Getting Started
Code components are an amazing way to add additional functionality to your Framer site.
With FramerBuild this is super simple and requires no code.
How to use components
Each component has a unique sharable URL. Framer will automatically detect when component URLs are pasted into a project, and handles everything for you.

Copy a component
Before you can use a code component in your project, you will need to import it. Simply copy the component you want to use, then paste it into your canvas.

Configure component
Finally you can now update the other component settings and styles to fit your needs. Some components will require third party API keys to function.
Reusing code components
After importing a component once, you won't need to do it again.
To reuse them, just navigate to the Assets panel, and chose a previously imported component from "FramerBuild".
You may need to re-enter your licence key if using the component multiple times within the same project.
Getting updates
Occasionally, we will make improvements or add functionality to existing code components.
When an update is available, you will notice a prompt to update under the "Assets" panel in your project.
Customizing component code
We don't currently enable access to the component code.
This is to ensure we are providing support in instances where the code has not been changed and secondly encourages users to come back to us with feedback and updates that can enrich our component library.
